As is now a tradition, we once again made our way to Munich. The Neo4j GraphSummit took place there on April 2, 2025 – a one-day mini-conference with technical presentations, customer reports and workshops on the Neo4j graph platform.
Not only did we see many familiar faces again, we were also able to expand our network and make some new contacts. It was particularly nice to meet Stefan Armbruster again, who many of us know from his time at Neo4j and with whom we have had many nice encounters both inside and outside of projects.
The presentation by Michael Hunger, who as VP Product Innovation at Neo4j is now the perfect person to communicate new product features, was as convincing and groundbreaking as ever. Michael led us through the innovations of the current Neo4j version with outstanding technical expertise and lots of charm. In addition to many anecdotes, he didn’t leave out any of the important features – for example in the GraphRAG and MCP areas – and at the end he set off a firework display of impressive live demos that left everyone in awe. And we are left with the impression that Michael himself still has his capable hands in the development of some of these functions.
Our conclusion
We were impressed by the innovations presented – especially GraphRAG and MCP. We see great potential for our work and plan to use these features in our own projects as soon as possible.
